Public product use
Provider discovery, public profiles, and comparisons can be viewed without an account. When the shared OCIO database is unavailable, the application displays an explicit unavailable state and does not substitute synthetic provider data.
Browser-stored research
OCIO Intelligence does not provide user accounts. It can store comparison selections in browser session or local storage so the same browser can retain research choices between page views.
- Browser-stored selections are not a server-side user profile.
- Clearing site data removes locally retained selections.
- Shareable comparison URLs contain the selected provider slugs.
Optional product analytics
When optional analytics consent has been granted, opening a live provider profile sends the profile slug, page path, referrer, a browser visitor token, and browser or device metadata to the OCIO Analytics application analytics endpoint. The receiving service may derive hashed network and browser identifiers to measure product and profile activity.
OCIO Intelligence loads Google Analytics 4 in consent mode with analytics storage denied by default. Before consent is granted, Google Analytics may receive limited cookieless page-measurement signals but cannot use analytics storage. Granting consent enables analytics storage and fuller page-activity measurement. Snitcher loads only after consent is granted.
With the same consent, OCIO Intelligence also reports Core Web Vitals for page-performance monitoring. Each performance report contains the metric name and value, its rating, and the page path.
- The profile-open request is not sent and Snitcher is not loaded when optional analytics consent is denied or has not been granted.
- Google Analytics storage remains denied unless consent is granted; rejecting nonessential analytics does not enable Google Analytics cookies.
- Core Web Vitals reports are not sent when optional analytics consent is denied or has not been granted.
- Core Web Vitals reports do not contain the browser visitor token or a URL query string.
- The browser visitor token is stored in a first-party cookie for up to one year.
Information requests
When you request more information from a provider profile, OCIO Intelligence collects the contact details, organization, message, and provider context you submit. This information is used to route and respond to the request.
- Submitting an information request is optional. We use the details only to respond to and route that request.
- Provide only information needed for the requested response.
- Contact data may be retained for request handling, abuse prevention, and operational records.
